Social Media Specialist & Content Writer

content writer social media We’re looking for a local and creative professional to join our creative team in downtown Orlando.

  • This is not an entry level position. Only candidates with 3 to 5 years of experience will be considered.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT

  • Organize, manage, schedule and keep assigned projects within timeline & budgeted hours
  • Meet with clients (in person, by phone, video conference, screen share, etc) to listen, guide, brainstorm ideas & set up goals to develop creative & effective social media & SEO solutions
  • Assist clients with project requests, revisions, and changes
  • Present work for review and approval to clients
  • Provide needed copy & direction for the developer, graphic designer, web assistant, motion designer, etc
  • Work collaboratively in an environment that values creativity and flexibility

SOCIAL MEDIA
Set Up & Planning

  • Create new profiles and maintain (optimize and improve) existing digital profiles in social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, TikTok, etc) and directory listings (Google my business, Yelp, Google maps, Apple maps, etc)
  • Manage clients’ social media platforms and ensure that the profiles are up-to-date and fully functioning
  • Plan and implement monthly social media calendars
  • Using specialized applications to create and schedule social media content
  • Oversee social media accounts’ visual design, such as cover images and profile pictures.
  • Proven ability to develop brand and marketing strategies and communicate/present them to clients.

Campaigns & Ads

  • Research target markets & audiences
  • Develop, implement and optimize effective social media marketing strategies through various social media platforms, such as Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, Pinterest and tiktok
  • Create social media marketing goals and track related key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Develop digital marketing campaigns that will increase brand awareness, customer acquisition, engagement, lead generation and conversions.
  • Develop, execute, monitor, analyze and optimize social media campaigns
  • Stay up to date with social media and digital marketing best practices and strategies
  • Identify opportunities & emerging trends across social media platforms

Content Creation:

  • Create, develop, distribute, and manage social media content across all social media platforms
  • Write & create compelling posts to engage with online audiences
  • Work with digital media/graphic designer to develop visual content that is relevant to users and customers

Maintenance & Monitoring:

  • Monitor social media accounts and interact with users
  • Communicate in a timely manner with followers & customers
  • Reading and responding to comments, questions and messages from social media followers & customers
  • Monitoring social media platforms to identify conversations about relevant brands and topics
  • Perform brand monitoring. Track digital channels to monitor brand mentions & brand perception. Identify issues in brand reputation, propose solutions & opportunities for improvement
  • Monitor, respond, report/flag as inappropriate, & remove reviews and comments

 Measurement & analytics

  • Setup, monitor and report on SEO and web traffic metrics using tools such as google analytics, google search console, MOZ, & SEM rush among others
  • Prepare and share monthly/quarterly/yearly website and social media performance insight reports
  • Analyze immediate and long-term needs for a strong website & social media strategy. Prepare reports outlining any necessary changes to improve conversions, engagement, reach, website traffic etc
  • Utilize analytics to track and optimize growth and engagement across social channels
  • Set measurable goals that demonstrate improvement in marketing efforts
  • Monitor daily performance metrics to understand social media campaigns & SEO strategy performance
  • Analyze & interpret social media analytics, creating reports that demonstrate progress toward goals
  • Identify target audiences and opportunities in campaigns analytics

CONTENT WRITING:

Content creation:

  • Conduct research on industry-related topics and market trends to create thoughtful & original content
  • Conceive and pitch content ideas to clients that serve their target audience, goals, industry, and needs
  • Write professional-level, clear, concise and grammatically correct copy for online content for such as articles, websites, social media posts, online/email newsletters, etc
  • Produce well-written content consistent with a client’s or organization’s style
  • Edit, proofread and restructure copy to meet client or organization expectations
  • Collaborate with marketing director and graphic designer to develop of clients’ marketing materials

SEO Content Optimization:

  • Conduct keyword research to create strong SEO copy that follows SEO guidelines, SEO best practices and increases web traffic
  • Develop content optimization strategies that increase search engine results rankings
  • Submit articles to create relevant backlinks with high domain authority websites
  • Monitor traffic and analyze whether key performance indicators (KPIs) are being met

Content Updates:

  • Update websites’ content as needed in WordPress for maximum optimization and search engine rankings

  • Strong online portfolio. Links to previous social media campaigns & written articles are required. Only candidates with proven experience will be considered
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Experienced working with Macs
  • Proficient in basic computer programs (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, etc.)
  • Must have experience with Adobe Acrobat & WordPress
  • Highly proficient in social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Instagram, Google my business, etc) and their ad platforms
  • Knowledgeable in social media campaigns best practices, such as audience targeting, lead generation, engagement, reach, retention, & growth
  • Proficient with social media management tools like HootSuite
  • Proficient with SEO industry programs, such as MOZ, SEM Rush, SpyFu, etc
  • Experienced with Google myBusiness, Google Analytics & Google Search Console
  • Knowledge of keyword research, analytics, digital metrics, SEO, and data mining tools
  • Understanding of search engine algorithms and ranking methods
  • Experienced with newsletter services like Mailchimp & Constant Contact

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field

EXPERIENCE

  •  3 to 5 years of experience within a professional agency or services firm
