While convenient, Google Business Profile websites have always been limited in functionality and design flexibility. Google’s decision likely stems from its desire to focus on the core elements of its Business Profile platform, which is designed to provide essential business information, customer reviews, and directions. They are also promoting the use of more advanced website builders for those needing a more robust online presence.

What Happens to Your Existing Website?

Don’t panic just yet. While your GBP website will disappear in March 2024, Google has a temporary solution. Starting in March 2024, any visitors who try to access your GBP website will be automatically redirected to your Google Business Profile for a short period until June 10, 2024. This buys you some time, but it’s far from ideal.

Although M5 is an Orlando website design company you don’t need to be a local business to benefit from their friendly, professional and attentive services.
